Soundcheck is a section at the very front of the book which shows 3 live photographs, chosen both for it's editorial and aesthetic value. Each photo is printed 2 pages wide with quote from the artist. It is the pinnacle of live concert photography. I was fucking blind. Towering six feet from the ground my eyes were drinking the texture and patterns of the carpet. I could read things twice as fast and ten times further. It's like using an Apple II for two decades thinking "This is as good as computers get." then someone gives you Macbook Pro.
